Twelve proud ADAC Firefighters graduated today and became Certified Basic First Aid Instructors and will now begin delivering Certified Basic First Aid courses to ADAC staff and ADAC subsidiary employees!
In a first of its kind in the Aviation sector in the region, ADAC will now be able to meet and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as outlined by the Gulf Civil Aviation Authority and meet international standards. The training was organized and provided by The Emirates Institute for Health & Safety and its partner, LIFESKILL MEDICAL.
The Certified Firefighter Instructor will now begin delivering the Basic First Aid course both in Arabic and English and EIHS / LIFESKILLS MEDICAL will support their efforts and provide mentoring in order to ensure an effective and quality based program. The next phase for these Trainers will be to upgrade their skills and knowledge and become Advanced First Aid trainers which will be administered by EIHS / LIFESKILLS MEDICAL in the fall of 2010.
Capt Salem Al Khazraji, Head of Learning and Development at ADAC was a key supporter of this training initiative and admonished the Trainers to maintain a high standard and to continue to be leaders and ambassadors for safety, not only at work but at home and in the community.
