The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s (CIEH) recently entered into a partnership with the Emirates Institute for Health and Safety (EIHS) to explore joint advisory and training opportunities in Abu Dhabi.
The agreement was signed earlier this year by Frank Post, CIEH’s Executive Director of Commercial Services, and the EIHS’s Chairman, Mr Abdulla Qubaisy at the EIHS’s training centre in Abu Dhabi.
Over the past few years, the CIEH has been looking to expand their activities in the Middle East with Abu Dhabi being a key target for CIEH to offer training and advisory services to the burgeoning industries, private organisations, as well as the government.
Abu Dhabi has strict regulations over who can work in the emirate and Occupational Health and Safety consultancy services can only be provided if an organisation and/or consultant is registered under their Qudorat scheme to ensure quality and adherence to the emirate’s Environment, Health and Safety Management System (ADEHSMS).
As a result, EIHS have now become the trusted consultancy partner for CIEH’s Advisory Services within Abu Dhabi and going forward, the two organisation will be working together to approach Occupational Safety Health Abu Dhabi (OSHAD), the Sector Regulatory Authorities and private sector regulated clients to offer assured guidance and advice. The EIHS will also serve as a Premium Centre for CIEH training.
Frank Post said: “When working in Abu Dhabi it is absolutely vital to build your presence in the area and our partnership with the EIHS will help us do exactly that.
“Both organisations bring a lot to the table and we hope that this partnership continues over a number of years, while providing quality advisory and training solutions to a wide variety of organisations and industries across the Middle East.”
